BCITF Subsidy
Eligible Courses

Courses may cover, but are not restricted to
- Trade Training
- Sub-Trade Skills
- Supervisory Skills
- Technical Skills
- Occupational Health and Safety courses

Ineligible Courses
Courses include
- Selling and Sales Techniques
- Generic skills, such as general computer skills
- Motivational, stress control or other personal development seminars
- Seminars and conferences, unless the technique is used as part of an eligible training session

Eligible Trainees
To receive the BCITF training subsidy a trainee must be
- Currently directly employed in the Building and Construction Industry in Western Australia and on the completion of this course intending to continue working in the building and construction industry; or
- (if unemployed) be able to demonstrate that they were directly employed in the Building and Construction Industry in Western Australia on a full time basis, within the previous 12 months from the date of course commencement.


Ineligible Trainees
- BCITF training subsidies are not available to individuals employed on Building and Construction work in the resourses sector or those intending to work in the resources sector on completion of their training.


Training providers with approved "bulk billing" arrangements will be required to confirm the eligibility of trainees for all courses. Sufficient records must be maintained for audit purposes.

Note: Government employees and the employees of building supply companies are not eligible for BCITF training subsidies as are the employees of companies working in the mining, gas and petroleum sectors and the employees of companies who install, maintain and repair lifts and excalators.
