Due to staff turnover, other employee’s have needed to be trained and recognised as
being safe on a range of plant equipment.
Training sessions for several personnel was arranged with some participants experienced
whilst others had limited exposure to larger types of earthmoving equipment.
All relevant information was provided for the client.
The experienced operators had no difficulty in operating the plant equipment but found the
theory section more challenging than expected. Whilst having many years in the civil
construction industry they had never had the opportunity to be taught the theory related
subjects applicable to operating various types of plant equipment.
Operators that had limited hands on experience found difficulties in operating some plant.
The completion of appropriate training assisted all operators in the safe and efficient
performance of daily tasks.
