The course is designed to bring participants up to the OH&S Competency Standards required for Plant Operators.
Participants will be trained in the use of Excavators.

Who should attend:
Existing Operators who require the OH&S Certification and new Operators to the Industry.

Number of Participants:
1 per machine

Pre Requisites:

Relevant Licence code as per Department of Road Transport Law.

Qualification/Certificate:
Nationally Recognized Certificate of Competency LE WorkPlace - Conducted in accordance with National Guidelines For Occupational Health & Safety Competency Standards For The Operation Of Load shifting Equipment And Other Types of Specified Equipment [NOHSC: 7019 (1992)]

Objectives of Course:
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
- Have a knowledge of and understand the OHS&W Regulations of 1995
- Operate the Excavator safely
- Conduct routing checks
- Shift loads safely
- Carry out shut down procedures correctly
