OUR SERVICES We provide training and assessment services in a wide range of occupational areas associated with the construction industry including Traffic Management, Quick cut, Chainsaw, elevating work platform operation, workplace safety and operational supervision. There are scheduled courses at fixed times throughout the year or for larger group bookings we can arrange suitable times and customise the courses to your specific needs. APPRENTICESHIPS/TRAINEESHIPS ETAS is widely recognised for its expertise and experience in delivering Traineeships which satisfies employer requirements and prepares trainees for a successful career. Training programs are designed to maximise learning while minimising time spent off the job. FLEXIBLE DELIVERY Training and assessment are tailored to client requirements. Clients can select the competencies and elements of competencies which best meet their business or employment needs. RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) Skills and knowledge gained through experience or other training can be rcognised towards a qualification. ETAS provides guidance and advice on the recognition of prior learning (RPL) process. LIVE WORKS ETAS can run “Live Works” sites where participants gain a hands-on practical learning experience such as Traffic Management. PLANT AND EQUIPMENT Provided by the client or hired on an “as required” basis. STATE WIDE AND INTER-STATE ETAS can provide training and assessment at worksites anywhere in Australia. We have substantial experience in training and assessment in regional and remote areas. LEARNER SUPPORT Training is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of clients many of whom have special needs. JOB PLACEMENT We can assist clients in finding employment and employers in identifying suitable employees. ADVICE With a wealth of experience in training and assessment, our staff can provide you with advice and assistance regarding training, licensing/certification, qualification, employment and general industry requirements. QUALIFIED STAFF All of our training and assessment staff meet the quality requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework. Each has at least a Certificate lV in Assessment and Workplace Training and all are qualified and have recent practical industry experience in the areas in which they train. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ETAS recognises its responsibility to provide a safe training environment and also to deliver training which will provide participants with appropriate knowledge and skills in occupational health and safety. INCREASING THE NUMBER OF QUALIFIED WORKERS IN THE INDUSTRY Skills assessment and gap training Workers who don’t possess a qualification but have worked in the industry for a number of years can have their skills assessed through a recognition of prior learning process, commonly known as Skills Assessment For workers who have been skills assessed and require further training to gain their qualification. RTO’S contracted to deliver the skills assessment and gap trading service will ensure a training schedule is prepared for each existing worker outlining the training to be delivered and funding arrangements, and that the gap training is delivered wherever possible to complete the worker’s qualification (up to a maximum of 240 hours/6 competencies//worker/year.
