CONCRETING OPERATIONS
(off the job training component)
PURPOSE
This module aims to provide construction workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct concreting operations.
RELATIONSHIP TO COMPETENCY STANDARDS
National Construction Industry competency framework prescribed under unit BCG 1010
'Carry out Concreting to simple forms' and CCC 2009A 'Carry Out Concrete Work' forms the foundation for the development of this training module.
PREREQUISITES
Competencies or modules required for entry into this module are:
· basic industry unit of competency appropriate to work orientation.
· basic stream skills unit of competency appropriate to work orientation.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Trainees who have completed appropriate training or who, through prior learning and
experience, believe that they have gained the required skill/competency stipulated for this
module may be granted credit upon substantiation of that claim.

TOPIC SIX - PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT
Outcome: Demonstrate competence in all aspects of concreting.
Assessment: Undertake a practical and theoretical assessment in which the trainee will answer questions on concrete work in accordance with the assessment instrument
provided.
