The TAE40122 qualification reflects the roles of entry-level vocational education and training (VET) teachers, trainers and assessors who are delivering training services to vocational learners and assessment services to candidates. What are the entry requirements for the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
Students will need to undertake a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment prior to enrolment to demonstrate suitability to undertake this course.
How is the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment delivered?
The Certificate IV Training and Assessment is delivered face to face over five modules (12 units of competency) at our West Perth training facility. The modules are spread over a minimum of six months to embed the application of learning in the workplace.

Module 1 – Deliver and assess work skill instruction

- TAEASS412 Assess competence
Module 2 – Mentoring and learning in the workplace
Units of competency:
- TAEDEL414 Mentor in the workplace
- TAELLN421 Integrate core skills support into training and assessment
Module 3 – Introduction to the VET sector and nationally recognised training products
Units of competency:
- TAEPDD401 Work effectively in the VET sector
- TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
- TAEDES412 Design and develop plans for vocational training
Module 4 – Facilitating training and work-based learning
Units of competency:
- TAEDEL411 Facilitate vocational training
- TAEDEL412 Facilitate workplace-based learning
- BSBCMM411 Make presentations
Module 5 – Assessment
Units of competency:
- TAEASS413 Participate in assessment validation
- TAEASS512 Design and develop assessment tools
