Statement of Purpose

Earthworks Training and Assessment Services Pty Ltd was founded in 1996 to provide quality training and assessment services for the civil construction and road infrastructure industries across Australia. The company’s primary purpose and guiding principles have never changed and the company has since evolved as a leading and respected professional registered training organisation and a proactive advocate for the traffic management, civil construction and road infrastructure industries. 

Training & Assessment 

We provide specialist traffic management training and assessment critical to the continuity of industry and infrastructure to the Northern Territory.

As national registered training organisation we continue to:

  1. Deliver safely, quality traffic management training and assessment to the Northern Territory.
  2. Maintain the integrity and quality of our training and assessment services.
  3. Ensure business continuity and
  4. Champion safe work and health practices in the workplace.

Physical distancing and hygiene control measures implemented during training and assessment are reasonably practical to minimise the spread of and risk of exposure of COVID-19 during training and assessment courses and across work sites.

Earthworks Training and Assessment  Services (ETAS) is a nationally registered training organisation established by the Principal / Chief Executive Officer Brian Kakoschke whose guiding principles remain unequivocally focused on positively contributing to the current and future development of the traffic management, road infrastructure and civil construction industries by delivering quality training and assessment services. Over the years we have realised true success is more about the knowledge of training, assessment and industry which in turn contributes to positive and progressive differences towards raising the bar on quality, safety and performance.

ETAS provides traffic management training and assessment services to a range of occupational areas relevant to the traffic management, road infrastructure and civil construction industries across the Northern Territory and Western Australia including  Australian Island Territories. Great pride is taken in working closely and in collaboration with the relevant local, state and territory road authorities, road contractors and traffic management organisations and fostering positive industry engagement.

ETAS is an approved provider of Workzone Traffic Management for the Department of Infrastructure Planning and Logistics Northern Territory and Main Roads Western Australia.

Training and assessment services is easily tailored to suit the specific requirements and relevant competencies of the private sector (PCBU), individuals, non government organisations and local, state and territory governments either on or off site. 

The ETAS training and assessment team have and maintain the relevant tertiary and industry qualifications complimented by a wealth of experience and skills including theoretical industry knowledge which meet the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 and the Australian Skills Quality Authority Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2012 V2.2 October 2019.  We maintain a contemporary industry based approach to professional development to ensure we meet and maintain the highest of industry standards and our quality outcomes for training and assessment continue to be achieved and maintained.

With an impeccable safety record and compliance with government and industry safety standards we continue to have the paramount responsibility of integrating Work Health & Safety into all training courses and assessment services. 

Access, Inclusion & Foundation Skills

Course participants are encouraged to make ETAS trainers and assessors aware of any specific learning requirements to ensure learning strategies are discussed and are self determining - the ultimate goal being to achieve maximum participation, capacity and capability during training and assessment sessions.

Training and training support personnel strive to ensure course participants have every opportunity to complete their training and assessment. It is of significant importance  a training and assessment course is completed and course participants take way with them not only the necessary theoretical and practical skills to work in and contribute to the resources and infrastructure industries but also a sense of accomplishment and achievement.
