Earthworks Training and Assessment Services Pty Ltd was founded in 1997 to provide quality training and assessment services across Australia. The company’s primary purpose and guiding principles have never changed and the company has since evolved as a leading and respected professional registered training organisation and a proactive advocate for the traffic management, civil construction and road infrastructure industries.

We reviewed our business operations to respond to the needs of students, to keep students and employees safe and to deliver training that will give students the best chance of gaining employment and contributing to the recovery of the Australian economy. We continue to meet our obligations to students, employees and to the regulator as we collectively navigate the unprecedented situation of the COVID-19 Virus.

The safety and wellbeing of students and employees is paramount and as a registered training organisation, we will continue to manage the logistics of the COVID-19 Virus pandemic to:

  1. Deliver safely, quality traffic management training and assessment to the Northern Territory.
  2. Maintain the integrity and quality of our training and assessment services.
  3. Ensure business continuity and
  4. Champion safe practices in the workplace.

 ETAS’s COVID-19 Virus Safety Plan is approved by the Northern Territory Government’s Roadmap to the New Normal and a Statement of Commitment (Reference No COVID19-CHK-4428) issued acknowledging our demonstrated commitment to physical distancing measures and health and hygiene principles in the training and assessment learning environment.

The COVID-19 physical distancing and hygiene control measures implemented for all training and assessment courses are reasonably practical to minimise the spread of and risk of exposure of COVID-19 to students and employees while on site.

Our WA Kimberley Campus remains closed meaning delivery of Main Roads Western Australia Temporary Traffic Management Courses is on hold until further notice.

Welcome to Earthworks Training & Assessment Services & Assessment Services

Earthworks Training and Assessment  Services (ETAS) is a nationally registered training organisation established by the Principal / Chief Executive Officer Brian Kakoschke whose guiding principles remain unequivocally focused on positively contributing to the current and future development of the traffic management, road infrastructure and civil construction industries by delivering quality training and assessment services.

Over the years we have realised true success is more about the knowledge of training, assessment and industry which in turn contributes to positive and progressive differences towards raising the bar on quality, safety and performance.

ETAS provides traffic management training and assessment services to a range of occupational areas relevant to the traffic management, road infrastructure and civil construction industries specialising in traffic management training and assessment across the Northern Territory and Western Australia including remote communities and Australian Island Territories. Great pride is taken in working closely and in collaboration with the relevant local, state and territory road authorities, road contractors and traffic management organisations and fostering positive industry engagement.

ETAS is an approved provider of Workzone Traffic Management for the Department of Infrastructure Planning and Logistics Northern Territory and Main Roads Western Australia.

Training and assessment services can be easily tailored to suit the specific requirements and relevant competencies of the private sector (PCBU), individuals, non government organisations and local, state and territory governments either on or off site. We also provide a mobile training team using on site facilities or hired as required.

The ETAS training and assessment team have and maintain the relevant tertiary and industry qualifications complimented by a wealth of experience and skills including theoretical industry knowledge which meet the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 and the Australian Skills Quality Authority Standards for Registered Training Organisations Version 2.0 November 2017.  We maintain a contemporary industry based approach to professional development to ensure we meet and maintain the highest of industry standards and our quality outcomes for training and assessment continue to be achieved and maintained. 

Safety is a Serious Business - Taken Very Seriously!  With an impeccable safety record and compliant with government and industry safety standards we have the paramount responsibility of integrating Work Health & Safety into all training courses and assessment services to ensure course participants have the knowledge and skills for Workzone Traffic Management including Work Health and Safety.

Potential students are encouraged to make ETAS trainers and assessors aware of any specific learning requirements to ensure learning strategies are discussed and are self determining - the ultimate goal being to achieve maximum participation, capacity and capability during training and assessment sessions.
